FIT
THIS IS A BAD FIT
FOR MOST PEOPLE.
Most pages like this are written to include you. This one is written to sort you, because the fastest way to waste money in this industry is to buy something built for a situation you are not in.
Who this is actually for
A situation, not a revenue band.
- You are the constraint and you know it. The business works. It works because you are in it constantly, and that has stopped being sustainable.
- You know what to do and do not do it. Not a knowledge gap. A follow-through gap, repeated across months, on the same handful of items.
- You have installed process and gone around it. The documents exist. You are the reason they are not followed.
- Nobody around you will be honest. Your team reports to you and your family loves you. Neither is a source of correction.
- You are willing to be told you are wrong by someone who has run something, and to change your week rather than argue about the diagnosis.
Who this is not for
Three types reliably waste their money, and it is worth recognizing yourself in one of them before rather than after.
The person who wants validation. They arrive with a plan and a preferred conclusion. Every disagreement is met with context about why their situation is different. They are not looking for correction, they are looking for a credible person to agree with them, and they will keep paying until they find one. That is an expensive way to buy agreement.
The person unwilling to change their calendar. Coaching produces commitments, and commitments consume hours that are currently spoken for. If nothing is coming off the calendar, nothing is going on it. An owner who will not cancel anything is telling you the honest answer before the first session.
The person looking for tactics. They want scripts, channels, a better CRM, the current arbitrage. Those are real things and they are not this. Tactics are cheap and widely available. Someone who has not executed the last six tactics they learned does not have a tactics problem.

Situations where coaching is the wrong purchase entirely
Not a fit question. A sequencing question.
- Pre-revenue. You need customers and repetitions, not accountability about a business that does not exist yet. Go make offers.
- A cash crisis this month. If payroll is at risk, the priority is cash, collections and revenue. Structural work needs a runway to happen on.
- No demand. Coaching and consulting both improve a machine. Neither creates customers. If the offer is not selling, fix that first.
- Something clinical in the way. Burnout that has crossed into depression, an addiction, a marriage in crisis. Those require a licensed professional and a coach who takes them on is doing harm.
- You want someone to run it for you. That is an operator or a general manager, which is a hire, not a coaching relationship.
The uncomfortable self-test
Answer these in writing, alone, before spending anything on coaching of any kind from anyone.
- Name the three things you have known you should do for at least ninety days and have not done. If you cannot name three, this is not your problem. If you can name them instantly, that is the conversation.
- What comes off the calendar? Name the specific recurring commitment you will cancel to make room. Not 'I will find time.'
- When were you last told you were wrong about your business, and what did you do? If the honest answer is that you explained why they did not understand, note it.
- What would have to be true in six months for this to have been worth it? If you cannot state it in a way another person could verify, you are not buying a result, you are buying company.
Those four questions are free and they do more sorting than any sales conversation.
Start free, and mean it
There is a free community for exactly this reason. Read the material. Watch how questions get answered and how directly people get corrected. See whether that register is one you can actually operate in, because being told you are wrong by someone you are paying is a different experience than people expect.
If the free layer is not useful to you, the paid layer will not rescue it. That is true here and it is true of every education business, and anyone unwilling to say so is telling you where their revenue comes from.
The same test applies to anyone else you are considering. Are they currently running something, or describing a business they operated years ago. Will they tell you who their work is bad for. Is there a free layer you can sample before spending. Does the pitch lead with mechanics or with lifestyle. Are income claims attached, because those are a reason to walk rather than a reason to buy.
Frequently asked
Questions people actually ask
What revenue do I need before coaching makes sense?
No figure is published because the threshold is not financial, it is situational. What matters is whether there is a functioning business with real work moving through it and an owner who is the constraint on it.
What if I am the validation-seeker type?
Then knowing it is worth more than any program. The useful next step is to find one person who will disagree with you and to practice not explaining why they are wrong.
Is coaching worth it for a solo operator?
Sometimes, for calendar and follow-through. But much of the value in this material concerns delegation and handoffs, which do not exist without a team.
Can coaching help if my business is failing?
Not as a rescue. If the immediate problem is cash or demand, that is where attention belongs. Coaching is an improvement to a business that has a runway, not a substitute for one.
What if my spouse thinks this is a waste of money?
Take that seriously rather than defending against it. The people closest to you have watched the last few things you bought and how much changed afterward. That is data.
Do you turn people away?
Yes, and this page is the first filter on purpose. A bad fit costs the client money and costs everyone else a reference that does not hold up.
Make your next move
A year from now, what will you be glad you started today?
You don't need another promise that everything will be easy. You need something useful to learn — and a next step you're willing to take.
